TAZEWELL, Va. —
Two job fairs announced Tuesday by Tazewell County officials will seek to help more 100 residents impacted by the looming closure of a local bottling plant.
According to County Administrator Jim Spencer, the first job fair will be held at Graham High School from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24 and then again on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Another job fair will be held at Richlands High School on Friday, March 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and then again on Saturday, March 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We are holding two huge job fairs at Graham High School and at Richlands High School, not just because of Bluefield Beverage, but because there are a lot of companies in Tazewell County advertising and looking for employees,” Spencer said. “We will have career coaches there and service providers from the workforce investment board. This is for high school seniors, G.E.D. students, people without a job who are looking for one or people with a job who are looking to change careers.”
