MATOAKA — A Mercer County man died early Sunday morning of injuries he received in an ATV accident near Matoaka, authorities said.
The accident occurred at about 12:30 a.m., near Matoaka in the vicinity of Cline Country Road, according to Senior Trooper S.A. Murphy of the Princeton Detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
Murphy did not provide any details on the accident. “Deputy (S.A.) Sommers of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department is the lead investigator,” Murphy said.
Sommers worked a late shift and could not be reached late Sunday evening for additional details.
