AFTERNOON UPDATE — Stafford enters PSHS Hall of Fame
PRINCETON- A 1949 graduate of Princeton Senior High School was inducted today in that school’s Hall of Fame.
Ann Stafford, Princeton’s 2009 Citizen of the Year and a PSHS graduate of 1949, was honored Thursday morning during the high school’s annual awards program for seniors. Stafford is chairperson of the Princeton Public Library Board, which has been working to turn the former post office on Mercer Street into a new library.

Torrents leave trail of debris
Sunday was not a day of rest for many residents of the two Virginias as flood waters retreated back to the still swollen river and stream beds and people took up shovels, rakes and water hoses to start putting their lives back together.

PRINCETON — Ground saturated with water and swollen rivers and streams fueled by melting snow proved to be a dangerous situation on Saturday as the area was hit by a rain storm that dropped 2 to 3 inches of additional precipitation on the area.
