CLAYPOOL, HILL, Va. —
An arrest has been made in the case of a purse theft Dec. 23 at the Claypool Hill Walmart.
The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office issued photographs of a suspect to the Bluefield Daily Telegraph and other media, said Major Harold Heatley, chief deputy of the sheriff’s office. As a result, an arrest has been made, he announced this morning.
“Thanks to a number of tips coming into our office we have made an arrest on the female suspect shown in these photographs,” Heatley said. “Arrested last night on one charge of grand larceny was Neeka Dotson, a 29-year-old female from Floyd Avenue in the Richlands area. Unfortunately very little of the personal belongings of the victim were recovered. This case is still under investigation and additional charges are pending on a male accomplice she may have been working with.”
