BLUEFIELD —
Firefighters in Bluefield were on the scene of a structure fire on Third Street in the city until 4 a.m., this morning, according to Captain Richard Hodge.
The structure was fully involved when firefighters arrived on scene at 11:13 p.m., Thursday night. Hodge said that neighbors told them that homeless people sometimes stay at the house. Firefighters searched the structure and did not find anyone, but contacted the state Fire Marshal’s office to investigate today.
Hodge said this fire marks the third fire the department has responded to in the past two weeks.
For more information on the Third Street fire as well as the others, see Saturday’s edition of the Bluefield Daily Telegraph.
