RICHLANDS, Va. —
Several fire departments in Tazewell County battled a structure fire early Tuesday morning on Smith Ridge Road.
A double wide mobile home was fully involved, according to the county’s 911 communication center. No injuries were immediately reported. The blaze was reported at 8 a.m.
The Jewell Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, Bandy Volunteer Fire Department, Whitewood Volunteer Fire Department and Richalnds Fire Department all responded to the fire.
The mobile home was located near the Chicken Ridge and Bearwallow communities.
