Buchanan, Tazewell county authorities search for man considered armed and dangerous

GRUNDY, Va. — The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to be on the lookout for a Tazewell County man considered armed and dangerous.

Kevin Wayne Berglowe, 44, of Richlands, is wanted for distribution of schedule II drug and possession with intent to distribute, according to a press release issued by Buchanan County Sheriff Ray Foster. Foster said Berglowe made threats to both law enforcement and the public and is suspected to be in Buchanan or Tazewell counties.

Foster said a be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) was issued for Berglowe after a search in Tazewell County on Tuesday yielded no results.

“He has been traveling between Tazewell and Buchanan counties,” Foster said. “We did a search on a place in Tazewell County yesterday, but he was not at that location. After that, we issued the BOLO on him. He has threatened to hurt someone, which is why we issued the BOLO after that search.”

Anyone with any information on Berglowe is encouraged to contact the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office at 276-935-2313 or the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office at 276-988-5966.
