GRUNDY, Va. —
A Buchanan County man has been sentenced to life plus three years in prison in relation to a 2011 shooting death.
Donald Martin Young, 62, of Hurley, Va., was sentenced into life in prison for first-degree murder in the June 23, 2011 shooting death of Danny Paul Justus, according to Buchanan County Commonwealth’s Attorney Gerald Arrington.
Buchanan County Circuit Judge Patrick R. Johnson sentenced Young to life on Thursday following the jury’s recommendation. Young was also sentenced into an additional three years in prison for using a firearm in commission of a murder.
