TAZEWELL, Va. —
The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office responded to an early morning accident Friday involving a school bus in the Gratton community.
A school bus was turning down a street in Gratton at 7:30 a.m. when it was rear-ended by a vehicle, according to Brian Hieatt, chief of operations at the sheriff’s office. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
About 10 students complained of back and shoulder pain, and several were transported by their parents to the hospital for precautionary purposes, School Superintendent Dr. Brenda Lawson said.
