WELCH — The final school year begins Wednesday for two high schools in McDowell County.
Both Big Creek High School and Iaeger High School will be closing following the conclusion of 2009-2010 school year. Students return to the classroom Wednesday across McDowell County.
The new Riverview High School will open in Bradshaw next fall consolidating and closing the existing Big Creek and Iaeger high schools.
