AFTERNOON UPDATE — Bond reduction denied in child abuse case

PRINCETON – A reduction in bond was denied today to a Lashmeet man who is facing a charge of child abuse resulting in severe injury.

Paul Daniel Asbury, 19, of Lashmeet appeared before Magistrate Rick Fowler for a preliminary hearing. Prior to the hearing, which Asbury later waived, a motion to reduce his $50,000 bond was denied.

Asbury was arrested after he brought his son, approximately 2 months old, to Princeton Community Hospital.
