An electrician at the Alex Energy Inc., Pocahontas Mine in Green Valley in Greenbrier County, died as a result of injuries he received on the job early Friday morning.
Steven O’Dell, 27, address unavailable, an electrician working for Alex Energy, a subsidiary of Alpha Natural Resources, was pronounced dead at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Rupert, following the 1:30 a.m., mine accident. The Associated Press reports that O’Dell was injured when he was caught between a scoop and a continuous miner.
