PRINCETON — The trial of a Mercer County man charged with first degree murder was scheduled for April during a status conference today in Mercer County Circuit Court.
Bruce Lee Milam, 33, of the Kegley-Spanishburg area, was arrested last summer and charged with the July 16, 2009, murder of Lester Sloane, 58, of Glenwood.
Milam allegedly told police he and Sloane argued over a drug deal prior to Sloane’s death. Mercer County Circuit Judge scheduled Milam’s trial on the charge to start April 13.
