UPDATE: Three still hospitalized following fatal crash

CAMP CREEK — West Virginia State Police have released the names of a man who was killed and three others who were injured following a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 77 Sunday.

According to Cpl. J.D. Hamilton of the West Virginia State Police turnpike detachment, Caleb Austin, 22, of North Carolina, died when the maroon Dodge Nitro he was a passenger in collided with a Geo Prism. His wife Lindsay Austin, 20, also of North Carolina was transported to Princeton Community Hospital while a second passenger David Rensma, 22, also of North Carolina, was airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

The conditions of Lindsay Austin and Rensma were not immediately known Monday, Hamilton said.

The driver of the Geo Prism, Ryan Ferre, 28, of South Carolina, was also transported to Princeton Community Hospital, but Hamilton said Ferre’s injuries were not as severe.
