PRINCETON – Forecasters with the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, Va. have issued Winter Storm Warnings for Mercer and Monroe counties in West Virginia and Tazewell and Giles counties in Virginia. Winter Weather Advisories were issued for McDowell County in West Virginia and Buchanan and Wythe counties in Virginia.
Another 1 to 3 inches of snow was expected today with an extra 1 to 2 inches tonight and 1 to 3 possible Wednesday. Wind chills as low as 2 degrees below zero were predicted for Wednesday night.
