TAZEWELL, Va. —
Law enforcement officers in two states are searching for a 26-year-old male who allegedly assaulted an 8-year-old minor child.
The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office posted a notice on Facebook Wednesday morning stating that they are actively searching for Timothy Asbury, a male subject, 5’9” tall, 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes who was last seen in the vicinity of Skygusty.
“We started investigating the case (on Tuesday),” Major Harold Heatley of the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office said. “We are working with the McDowell and Mercer county sheriff’s offices and the West Virginia State Police to find the suspect.”
Heatley said anyone who knows of Asbury’s whereabouts should contact their local law enforcement department.
