BLUEFIELD — Firefighters fought a blaze that eventually involved two houses on Highland Avenue between Locust and Walnut Streets in downtown Bluefield late on Friday night. Units were on scene until after midnight.
A hose connected to a hydrant on Bluefield Avenue, a block away from the scene, temporarily forced closure of the avenue to traffic.
