BLUEFIELD, Va. —
U.S. Senator-elect Tim Kaine will serve as the winter commencement speaker at Bluefield College on Dec. 15, at 10 a.m. in Harman Chapel.
Kaine, a former Virginia governor and mayor of Richmond, Va., served for a time as Democratic National Committee before launching his successful campaign for the U.S. Senate seat in Virginia that became open when U.S. Senator Jim Webb, D-Va., chose not to seek re-election.
BC announced that 96 seniors will receive their diplomas at the winter commencement.
