PEARISBURG, Va. —
Voters in Giles County will choose a new commissioner of revenue Tuesday.
Candidates Lisa J. Corell and C.A. Charlie Mullins are both seeking the position of commissioner of revenue with a term set to end on Dec. 31, 2015. Corell presently serves as a deputy in the commissioner of revenue’s office while Mullins serves as a game warden and officer with the Virginia Department of Wildlife.
Current Commissioner of Revenue Anne C. Chambers is not seeking re-election.
Residents of Glen Lyn, Va., will be going to the polls Tuesday to select town leadership. Incumbent Mayor T. Rick Ould Jr. is running unopposed for re-election in the mayoral race.
Glen Lyn residents will also select five members for the town council. Susan B. Buckland, Rickey L. Crawford, Rhonda S. Sartin, Nila J. Spencer and Debra C. Whitt are all incumbent council members running unopposed for the five available seats on the Glen Lyn Town Council.
Voters in the town of Narrows will also select a mayor and town council members Tuesday. Incumbent Mayor H. Clayton Davis is running unopposed for re-election. Incumbents John G. Davis, Thomas S. Garrett and Roger A. Martin are running unopposed for the three town council seats.
