GREEN VALLEY —
Adreanna Hamby, the 17-year-old girl from Green Valley who was reported by her parents as being missing from her home on Aug. 23, is now believed to be in “extreme danger,” according to the Mercer County Sheriff’s deputy who has been investigating the case since she was discovered missing.
Cpl. S.A. Sommers of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department said he believes that Hamby is being “coached” by a third party “to avoid detection while traveling abroad.” Sommers hopes if the story reaches enough people, it may prompt someone to come forward with information that may help police locate her.
Additional details of Sommers’ investigation to this time will appear in the full report of this story in Saturday’s edition of the Bluefield Daily Telegraph.
