MORNING UPDATE: Hotline set up to report flood damage in Mercer

PRINCETON — Emergency officials are beginning their damage assessments today from the widespread weekend flooding in Mercer County.

A hotline has been set up for citizens to report damage to residential and commercial structures. The number is (304) 487-8448.

“I’ve got a team coming in from Charleston probably with some state and federal folks who are coming in to do some damage assessments on personal property,” Tim Farley, director of Mercer County Emergency Services said. “What they (property owners with flood damage) need to do is just leave their name, telephone number and possibly an address and we will try to get the folks out there to do some assessment.”
