BLUEFIELD, Va. — The Bluefield College Lady Rams received a send off on Tuesday as they left to play in the NCCAA National Tournament in Winona Lake, Ind.
The Lady Rams, who are 21-9 for the season, are embracing their chance for postseason glory.
“I’m extremely excited about going to an opportunity to play for a national championship,” said Bluefield College head coach Steve Hardin. “Anytime you can do that is a great time.
“We’re guaranteed three games down there regardless, so it’s worthwhile to go on a long nine-hour bus ride to go play and hopefully bring back a title.”
Bluefield College will open the tournament against North Greenville University on Thursday at 3 p.m.
