The Community Prayer Vigil, Monday, Oct. 15, at the Coal Miners’ Memorial-Richlands Town Hall was extremely moving. It was a gathering in prayer for the miners, the industry and the community at large. Sponsored by the Richlands Area Ministerial Association and the Richlands Area Chamber of Commerce, we came together for one common reason: to be in prayer for our friends, neighbors, community, county and nation.
None of us know what lies ahead but with the power of prayer all things are possible.
I would like to thank the following for their help and commitment: The Richlands Area Ministerial Association, Rev. Paul McNalley, Rev. Dennis Hoffman, Rev. Clyde Hester, Rev. Carl Howell, Rev. Jerry Welch, VFW Casey-Short Post 9640, Dr. Mark Estepp, Police Chief Frank Dorton, Richlands Police Department, town of Richlands, Mike Matney, VFW Memorial Fund and the good citizens of our communities.
Blessings come in many different forms and knowing that your community cares about you and your family gives you the peace of mind to keep going forward. Thank you for attending the Community Prayer Vigil and God bless you.
