Senior citizens and those on fixed incomes are having a hard time making it in these days of recession. These people who have to pinch pennies to buy food, medicine, pay utility bills and scrimp to get by surely resent the statement from Rep. Rick Boucher and President Obama that the cap-and-trade bill will only make their utility bills go up daily by the cost of a postage stamp!
When I grew older as a child, I quit believing in the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny, so I don’t believe the postage stamp story.
When President Obama ran for office, he originally said cap and trade would make energy costs sky rocket. I think he told the truth then as a candidate.
I feel Rep. Boucher has failed the Ninth District and the voters need to remind him by defeating him.
