I see where Bluefield wants ATV riders to stop in their fair city. What for? What has Bluefield got to offer anyone? No motels. No place to eat. No places to shop. The rider could come and watch the city tear down the rest of the town.
Bluefield had to hire another big man to turn the city around. If that is the case, why do we need a city manager or mayor.
That is their job — to see what new businesses come to town. They need someone to protect their backs since they can’t do the job themselves. The ATV riders coming in from North Carolina, they use the interstate, straight into Princeton where they can get lodging and food. Then they travel to Bramwell on Route 20 through Glenwood. So why do they need the city of Bluefield. Let’s face it our civic leaders have failed the citizens of Bluefield.
