What has the state of West Virginia got against the senior citizens and handicap people of southern West Virginia? For the past 25 years or more, the seniors could go to the Princeton Moose Lodge and the Bluefield Moose Lodge “before it closed” and enjoy a nice lunch and fellowship and bingo until one day a state representative goes there and tells them they will have to stop or get a license.
The food was free and the bingo was free so what was the problem? The state furnished nothing so there should be no reason to complain.
These people looked forward to the fellowship and the four hours they had together before they went home. I am a senior and I had a lot of friends there also. They went two times a month.
I don’t know of any other organization that did do much for the seniors and it has been five month since they shut down. Is there anyone out there that has a solution?
