We are not better than four years ago. All I hear on TV is the question, “Are we better off now than four years ago?” Absolutely not. Raises for Social Security were frozen, while everything else increased. Put a freeze on Social Security, put a freeze on everything else.
Take our politicians in Washington or Charleston, how would they like to make a living on Social Security, when a lot of people just average $500 a month? Compare that to what a politician makes a month, try to keep up with that.
It’s time to stop the wars and bring our troops home. These countries don’t care if they have peace or war, our troops are dying at a large alarming rate or come home wounded so bad that they will never be able to function, and what have we gained — nothing. My opinion: stop the wars and fighting, take care of our veterans, take care of the people on fixed incomes.
Enough spending on foreign wars, they don’t care what we do for them. Let’s stop the oil companies from getting any richer. The heck with the EPA, put our coal miners back to work and let’s make gas out of coal (that would teach foreign oil a lesson).
Please think about fixed-income people who struggle every month, bring their income up to date. How would you politicians like to live on what we do? Think about it. It’s not easy.
