I am writing this letter in regard to speeding traffic on the Raleigh and Berkley street areas (near Princeton). There are several children always walking along the road or playing, and there’s always a speeding vehicle of some kind passing through with no regard to anyone’s personal safety.
I have small children that walk that road and I am not only concerned for them but also the other neighborhood children as well. I’ve called the police and asked for patrols of the area, but have seen nothing.
I was told that due to it not being in the city limits there’s no way speed limit signs or speed bumps can be put up. Well somebody answer me this: When a child gets hurt or killed what will be the excuse then?
