As a citizen and small business owner, I want to express my concern about this government health care bill. The cost and negative impact of this bill will weigh heavily on every American if it is passed. It will be extremely detrimental to small businesses.
The cost of having an employee is already much higher than many people realize. By placing even more overhead on employers, a reduction in income for employees, a reduction in the size of the workforce or increased cost of the products or services provided by that business will be the result. It is difficult to provide a decent income to employees, when so much money already has to go to insurance like workers’ compensation and unemployment, and government fees and taxes.
If employee income is maintained, the costs will have to be passed on to consumers. Can we as Americans really afford to have this? I don’t think so.
Please encourage your representatives to vote no to the health care legislation. Open the borders between states for insurance competition, letting the free market lower the costs, instead of the government increasing them.
