To our Pubic Service Commission: It’s time for you people to stop giving the utility companies all the raises they ask for. You need to take a long hard look. We, the people of West Virginia, are having financial problems now. It’s time to reduce rates on everything from utilities to groceries to fuel to heat our home and to run our vehicles.
Take a long hard look at the younger people leaving West Virginia. Can’t you people see that they are going to be the backbone of this state? You see every month on the utility bills “neighbor to neighbor,” don’t they see that you can barely make it, let alone help your neighbor?
As far as our gas taxes go, stop buying foreign oil, make oil out of coal and that will step up the taxes because it doesn’t have to come from another country. If you guys want to keep the lights on in West Virginia then you better look into lowering taxes, better paying jobs and better roads. I know no one wants to give up their schools in their community but there comes a time when we can’t keep paying taxes on schools that don’t even come close to being full. It’s hard to accept, but we need to think about consolidation and that will help on property taxes. Please no hard feelings, that’s just my opinion.
