Where does all this money go that the toll road takes in? Does it repair all the roads in West Virginia?
Actually, the toll road is in worse condition than any other main roads in West Virginia that aren’t “toll roads.”
If most of the revenue comes from “out of state,” wouldn’t it be “nice” (especially for southern West Virginians) if West Virginians who need to travel it were given “free” passes.
It costs me $4 in tolls, plus gas, to drive to Beckley and $12 to Charleston. Another question. How does Virginia do without “toll roads,” and their roads are in just as good, if not better, condition than those in West Virginia?
Needless to say, this senior citizen doesn’t go north often. Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Wytheville are as close (Christiansburg/Blacksburg has two Panera’s. Sounds like a win win to me.
