Litter, APCO rates, and other issues

I have written countless letters to the editor about the trash that lays on the side of the roadways and it never gets picked up. Where are our litter control people who are supposed to do something about it?

 Start with fining the carriers. I thought there was supposed to be a tarp. Guess not. Another thing — have you ever seen so many businesses leaving West Virginia and going across the state line? Why can’t our leaders in Charleston see the problem?

One big word — taxes. Why should we pay more for gasoline and groceries when you can go across the state line and beat West Virginia prices? With all the taxes we have to pay in West Virginia — just look what you have to pay for and the kind of roads you have to drive on. Its time to stop this. We need a clean slate in Charleston. In closing this letter, it is time for somebody to do something about Apco’s rates. I thought once they converted to gas we would have lower prices. Guess not.

But one thing is for sure. Whoever is in charge with these prices just so they can get rich — come judgment day — they will stand before the Lord and answer to this.
