Mr. City Manager, have you lost your mind? You evidently have never been to a Beaver-Graham game. There is no way that 60 spots will work. It will not cure the traffic problem. People come from other states and towns for this game. Everyone who went to either school years ago will show up.
And you are trying to run away the fans! This is a tradition for both schools. The majority are great people. They’re not here to cause trouble, just enjoy the game and be with their friends they haven’t seen in a long time. They’re not here to cause trouble or make fools of themselves. They are grown-ups, not kids.
There are always a few to cause trouble. That goes on at all ball games. It will never stop.
This game draws in people from everywhere. They never had trouble with tailgating before that I’m aware of.
It’s one night a year. There are a few goody-two-shoes that just want to spoil one night. Why not put them in a special section; you won’t need much room for that.
If you did a breath test on everyone going to the game, three fourths of Bluefield and Graham would have to leave. Then you would have a half bleacher for Bluefield and a half bleacher for Graham. Boy, what a game that would be!
Wake up, Mr. City Manager, you’re trying to run people away with all of your rules that you have or come up with!
