CART’s Minds Wide Open: Children and the Arts Camp, Saturday, June 23, during the Greater Richlands Area Festival was a huge success. We enjoyed children of all ages having fun making balloon hats and animals, bean jewelry, book binding journals, posters for the Governor’s Food Drive Challenge, sidewalk drawings and face painting.
The talents of so many children were shared with volunteers, mothers, fathers and a grandmother or two. We just had a great time. Thank you for being a part of CART’s art camp and hopefully those that didn’t have a chance to come will next year.
I would like to thank the many volunteers who made CART’s Minds Wide Open Art Camp so very special: Vickie England, Martha Hurst, Becky Belcher, Matt Quesenberry, Lynna Mitchell, Greg Horn, Doug Branton, Jennifer Musick, Alisha England, April Quesenberry and Chelsey England.
CART is so blessed to have so many individuals and businesses keeping the arts alive in our community. Art does balance kids and adults too. And it’s refreshing to know it helps balance you.
