While driving home and turning onto Memorial Avenue I was surprised to see a line of 200 or so students from Memorial Elementary walking down my block in a straight line single file with teachers and staff in between them.
The students were quiet, orderly and all seemed to be happy. After I pulled into my driveway the students later came back up Memorial Avenue passing my house on the sidewalk in the same fashion. I began to say hello to some of them when one of the adults said the students were not allowed to talk, which they obeyed. So instead we simply gestured it to each other. I want to give praise to the students at Memorial for being such well behaved children.
