MARLINTON —
An outbreak of the flu has prompted the Pocahontas County school district to give students the rest of the week off.
Media outlets report Superintendent C.C. Lester decided to close public schools in the county on Thursday and Friday.
Lester and county health officer Dr. Luis Soriano didn’t immediately return telephone messages.
