WESTON, W.Va. (AP) — An employee at a state psychiatric hospital faces charges of threatening terroristic acts.
Media outlets report that West Virginia State Police arrested 51-year-old Ronald Morris of Weston on Tuesday.
State police say Morris became upset at work and threatened to go home, get a gun and shoot people.
A union official disputes the allegation.
West Virginia Employees Union UE 170 field representative Gordon Simmons says Morris told two co-workers that he couldn't believe someone hadn't "cleaned house" at the hospital.
Simmons says Morris was referring to management issues.
He says hospital supervisors have harassed Morris since he successfully appealed his firing two years ago.
A Department of Health and Human Resources spokeswoman declined to comment, saying it's a personnel matter.
