CROSSVILLE, Tenn. — —

A Cumberland County man clung onto an envelope containing about $13,000 for a while as a vehicle with four passengers sped away with the money.

Michael Lynn Vaughn, 46, told investigators he was robbed by four men, who had approached him seeking a small loan.

Vaught had recently won $13,000 in a crash settlement and he told investigators that money was grabbed out of his hands and the vehicle speed away.
