W.Va. toddler found dead under stove

BRANCHLAND, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia State Police are investigating the death of a toddler whose body was found under a cook stove in Lincoln County.

Capt. Dave Nelson tells WCHS-TV (http://bit.ly/V8etL0 ) that investigators believe the stove fell over and trapped the child after the floor gave way under it.

The chlid's body was found Monday in the kitchen of a residence in the Branchland area. State police say the chlid's caretaker was sleeping at the time of the incident.
