PRINCETON —
After deliberating through the afternoon and into the evening tonight, the jury that heard the evidence in the Marcus McKinley murder trial returned a guilty verdict at 8:45 p.m., according to personnel at the Mercer County Sheriff’s department.
McKinley, 27, of Princeton, was charged with the May 19, 2011 murder of Ayana Patton, 18, of Bluefield. The jury heard evidence presented during the four-day trial in the court of Mercer County Circuit Court Judge Omar Aboulhosn.
