VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. —
A Navy command is relocating its headquarters from Virginia Beach to Suffolk.
Navy Cyber Forces will begin moving from Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story in Virginia Beach to the former Joint Forces Command headquarters in Suffolk in August.
Navy Cyber Forces has been headquartered in Virginia Beach since its inception in 2010. It is responsible for computer, combat systems and intelligence capabilities, among other things.
Over the next several months the installation of several required network systems into the buildings will begin.
