TAZEWELL, Va. —
A Tazewell County man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a Cedar Bluff man.
Willard Dell Cook, also known as Willard R. Cook, 34, of Cedar Bluff, was arraigned before substitute Judge Shannon H. Cooke — no relation — Thursday morning on first-degree murder charges relating to the Nov. 29 death of Timothy Wade Mitchell, Sr., 54, also of Cedar Bluff, according to Tazewell County Commonwealth’s Attorney Dennis Lee.
Cook is being held without bond at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Tazewell, Va.
