Drug-round up nets 45 arrests in Tazewell County

A recent drug-round up in Tazewell County has yielded a total of 128 charges against 45 individuals.

Tazewell County Commonwealth Attorney Dennis Lee said 31 of the 45 individuals indicted in the recent drug-round up are in custody while 14 remain at large. Lee said charges were brought for intention to sell and possession of drugs that “run the gambit from heroin to methamphetamine to hydromorphone.”

Lee said the indictments are the result of investigations undertaken by the Tazewell County Narcotics Task Force, Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office, Bluefield, Va. Police Department, Richlands, Va. Police Department, Tazewell, Va. Police Department and Virginia State Police.
