Concord quarterback playing career is over

ATHENS — Concord University Head Football Coach Garin Justice confirmed Thursday that quarterback Zack Grossi will not return to the playing field as quarterback due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident earlier this week.

Grossi will continue to assist the team in a coaching capacity, Justice said.

Grossi hopes to be present for Saturday’s football game.

More to come.
