Strong selected as Prospect League All-Star

BLUEFIELD — After his first summer of Prospect League baseball, Bradley Strong of Richlands is on the league’s postseason all-star team that was announced over the weekend. Strong played third base for the West Virginia Miners, the Beckley-based team that won the league championship. He batted .359 and tied for the league lead with 29 stolen bases. He also had 10 doubles, six triples and 37 RBIs while batting primarily in the No. 2 spot in the lineup. He started in the league’s midseason All-Star game and is entering his sophomore year at Western Carolina University.
