Bluefield College holds on to beat OSU-Lima

BLUEFIELD, Va. — Kyle Long struck out 11 batters in seven innings and Jacob Wright drove in a pair of runs on a 3-for-4 day to help the Bluefield College Rams defeat Ohio State at Lima 8-7 on Monday at Bowen Field.

The Rams (8-12) got 2 for 3 batting performances from Tyler Lundgren and Christian Burton as part of a 13-hit attack on OSUL (1-1), which was playing its second game of the year.

Long held Lima to five hits and two runs before leaving after the seventh inning. The visitors scored five runs off Mark Gallimore in the ninth.

The two teams meet today in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
