Lilly again makes WVIAC player of the week

His 18 tackles in one game tops the league

PRINCETON — For the second time this month, Concord University junior linebacker Jake Lilly has tackled and hustled his way to defensive player of the week in the West Virginia Conference.

The Bluefield High grad made a career-high 18 stops in a 21-13 loss to at Division I Liberty University. A dozen of those were solo tackles. His total is tops in the WVIAC this season.

Concord has had five football player of the week awards in the past eight weeks.
