WVU No. 13 in first BCS standings list

— West Virginia placed 13th in the first Bowl Championship Series (BCS) standings of the season, released on Sunday evening.

The Mountaineers will host the No. 4 BCS team, Kansas State, this Saturday at 7 p.m. Eastern time in Morgantown.

The other Big 12 school rated higher than WVU is No. 9 Oklahoma, which will come to Morgantown on Nov. 17.

Alabama had a clear-cut edge as the top team in the BCS list. Florida was second, with Oregon and Kansas State very close to each other in the third and fourth spots.
