Freshman Alyssa Morris hit two home runs and the Concord softball team split a pair of games on Saturday at Lees-McRae, rallying from a 6-5 loss for a 9-5 victory in the nightcap.
Morris had a stellar day with three hits, including two home runs, three runs scored and four runs batted in. Morris now has five home runs on the season for the 12-11 Lady Lions.
Sophomore Lacey McDougall extended her hitting streak to 12 games after finishing the day 3-for-8 with three RBI and two doubles.
Morris is already just four home runs away from tying Ashley Jackson's nine home run year in 2006, for the most homers by a Concord player in a season since the Mountain Lions moved to NCAA Division II.
Concord returns to action on Wednesday at West Virginia Tech.

Bluefield State 13, Virginia Intermont 12
BRISTOL, Va. — Bluefield State rallied from a 7-1 deficit to beat the Cobras on Tuesday, scoring five runs in the ninth to earn its first win of the season.
Bluefield (1-8) needed 11 innings, but were able to get on the winning side of the ledger, and will visit Ohio Valley this weekend. The Cobras dropped to 14-4 on the season.
Bluefield 13, Emory & Henry 8
EMORY, Va. — Jamie Blackwell hit a ninth inning grand slam to lead Bluefield College to a 13-8 non-conference win over Emory & Henry on Wednesday night.
Bluefield hit five home runs in the contest.
