Tucker scores 18 to lead UTEP over Marshall

EL PASO, Texas — Konner Tucker scored 18 points to lead UTEP to a 74-63 victory over Marshall on Saturday night.

Tucker was 4 of 6 from the field. Jacques Streeter and McKenzie Moore scored 14 points apiece. John Bohannon scored 13 points and had a team-high eight rebounds. Streeter also had seven assists for the Miners (8-6, 2-0 Conference USA).

UTEP led 31-24 at halftime. The Miners did not trail in the second half and led by as much as 20.  UTEP shot 47.9 percent from the field for the game, while Marshall shot 44.7 percent. UTEP outrebounded Marshall 32-23.

Dennis Tinnon led Marshall with 19 points. Elijah Pittman had 11 points and a team-high five rebounds. DeAndre Kane also had 11 points, and D.D. Scarver added 10 points for the Thundering Herd (8-9, 1-1).

UTEP is 7-1 at home.
